The Heart of Onboarding – Success Begins at the Start
You’ve made the hire. Now comes the difficult part.
I ensure that international professionals and their families become productive, stable, and effective within 90 days — measurable, not by chance.
Hiring only solves the problem on paper.
The skilled labor shortage is forcing companies to recruit internationally. The hiring problem may be solved — but that is where the real risk begins.
International employees who are not properly integrated do not become productive. They leave. Or they stay — without delivering the performance they were hired for.

If an employee is not productively and stably integrated after 90 days, I will continue working at no additional cost until it works.
No exceptions. No excuses.
I stand behind the result.
Three stakeholders. One problem. One solution.
The growing mid-sized business
50 to 300 employees.
Growing faster than the local labor market can support.
Hiring international professionals — often for the first or second time.
Lacking internal integration expertise.
Only realizing after three months that something is wrong.
Problem: Integration fails quietly — and expensively.
The
professional sports club
DEL, Bundesliga, BBL.
Invests €100,000 to €500,000 in international players.
Loses many after one season because their families fail to settle in.
No structured integration support beyond housing and registration paperwork.
Problem: Transfer ROI disappears due to early turnover.
The international company
A leadership position is relocated to Germany.
The family comes from a different cultural background.
Highly paid, strategically important — yet disoriented within the first 90 days.
The company invests in relocation, but not in true integration.
Problem: A strategic position underperforms due to avoidable friction.

The guarantee others won’t give.
Three services. Clear value. Measurable results.

I know the problem from the inside
From 2012 to 2017, I supported the integration of international professional ice hockey players for DEG Düsseldorf EG. Not logistically — but humanly.
Players from Canada, Russia, the USA, and Sweden. Families suddenly finding themselves in a foreign culture. Children entering new schools. Partners without a network. Athletes who were expected to perform at the highest level at the same time.
This is not theory. This is five years of real-world experience with high performers under real pressure.
I know what works — and what does not.
I know what a family needs in order for a player to stay.
I know what a company needs in order for a skilled professional to perform.
In addition, I bring 15 years of experience in organizational development, a master’s degree in educational science, and the perspective of an entrepreneur who has personally led and made decisions under pressure.
- Master of Arts in Educational Science, Ruhr University Bochum
- 5 years of integrating international high performers, DEG Düsseldorf
- 15 years of organizational development and executive coaching
- Reference clients: Schwarz Group, Aldi Nord, McDonald’s, IKK
- Certified Scrum Master, Stress and Burnout Prevention
- Systemic Coaching
Your next international hire should
not be a risk.
30-minute conversation. No pitch.
I listen to what is truly on your mind and honestly tell you if — and how — I can help.
